Creativity is a powerful way to heal wounded parts and manifest our essential self. Bringing forth all that is within us, we actualize our capacity for transformation. Sharing our gifts with our community helps us to integrate their blessings into our lives and our world.

Creative expression opens a channel for the emergence of the gifts in our shadows, and the power trapped in the places we run from. Giving voice to parts of ourselves that have been repressed and exiled, artistic practices clear the way to our deep self, allowing us to access the inner wisdom and guidance that is critical to our ability to navigate challenges in our lives.

When we stretch our bodies, we access an expanding range of flexibility and mobility, and the same goes for our souls. Every time we reach out with a song or poem or image, we expand our capacity to receive light, guidance and support from the forces within us, within nature, and within the cosmos.

“We are all here to serve each other. At some point we have to understand that we do not need to carry a story that is unbearable. We can observe the story, which is mental; feel the story, which is physical; let the story go, which is emotional; then forgive the story, which is spiritual, after which we use the materials of it to build a house of knowledge.”
