Tashi Jay

I am a yoga instructor, psychedelic educator, and guide for those called to practices of transformation and consciousness expansion. Decades of study and training in ecopsychology, earth-based ritual, and mystical traditions of the East and West have led me to a holistic approach rooted in the guidance of nature and the wisdom of the body, bridging ancient shamanic technologies with emergent therapeutic modalities.

I am mid-way through a PhD in Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies, and enrolled in a 1400 hour program in Integrative Psychedelic Therapy through the Ecstatic Mysticism program at AWE Institute. My teachers are experts in trauma-informed therapies and indigenous teachers from the Yawanawá and Huni Kuin of the Amazon, the Bwiti of Gabon, the Huicholes of Mexico, and the Ai/Cofán tribe of the Colombian Amazon. I have been a practitioner in the Santo Daime—a syncretic entheogenic lineage from the Brazilian Amazon—for decades, and a lead musician in thousands of ceremonies. I am committed to ongoing training that supports me to deepen my offerings within a network of accountability to elders, mentors and colleagues.

I believe our personal healing is inextricable from the wellbeing of our culture and planet, and that inner work in liberation is essential to the dismantling of systems of violence and inequality. My life mission is to serve our collective evolution beyond the patterns of oppression that persist in our bodies, our communities, and our world, and contribute to the emergence of a culture of reciprocity and reverence. I center this offering in gratitude to the cultures that steward sacred plant traditions and the healing forces of the earth, and in my deep love for the wild mystery, within and without.
