Tatchi
I am a ceremonialist, psychedelic educator, writer, yoga practitioner, and singer of medicine songs. My holistic approach to healing and transformation is rooted in the guidance of nature and wisdom of the body. I am a first generation Canadian, descended from Norwegians and Ashkenazi Jews who fled the Holocaust to Canada. I currently live on Coast Salish land with my family, with white, CIS-gender, able-bodied, middle-class privilege. I am committed to the ongoing work of dismantling internalized patterns of oppression, and I understand this work to be inseparable from my mission to facilitate individual and collective transformation.
I’m here to help people recover a felt sense of connection with and belonging in nature, and contribute to the renewal of a culture of reciprocity and reverence, that honours all beings. I began working with plant teachers thirty years ago, and my ongoing relationship with sacred plants continues to support me in my work of healing and transformation. I have been a practitioner in the Santo Daime—a syncretic lineage from the Brazilian Amazon—since 1999, and a lead musician in thousands of ceremonies.
I’m midway through a PhD in Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies, advancing studies in Eastern, Western and indigenous therapeutic and mystical traditions.
My work is guided by nonhierarchical, inclusive, and trauma-informed perspectives. I welcome individuals who seek a deeper connection with their soul and a more authentic expression of their innermost truth, who do not feel at home in the dominant paradigm, and who are called to a spiritual path outside conventional religious structures.
